John Fern - Amedia & Balbex
John has been playing the drums and performing with various acts since the age of 11. He's played a wide variety of music during this time but his preference is usually the pop, rock and indie genres.
When asked about Amedia cymbals, John says " I was invited to check out the Amedia range by a friend and immediately realised that I had a big problem - I couldn't find a cymbal that I didn't like! It took me some time to finally settle on the Classic range although my collection is already expanding. I find that each and every cymbal is completely unique and incredibly musical, you can hear the DNA of each cymbalsmith in each one."
John also loves Balbex drumsticks and uses the G5A model. "Balbex drumsticks were another surprise to me - I've used almost every other drumstick on the market but the consistency and robustness of the Balbex sticks are a revelation! These sticks can take some serious punishment and still feel like new at the end of the show!"
